Klein Ileleji, an associate professor in Purdue's Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering and his wife, Reiko Habuto Ileleji, a Purdue alumna who earned her Ph.D. from the College of Education, co-founded the startup JUA Technologies International LLC to further advance and commercialize the technology. The name of the company comes from the Kiswahili word jua, meaning sun.

Purdue's undergraduate agricultural and biological engineering program has held the No. 1 spot on the U.S. News & World Report's list since 2012. This year, however, Purdue is sharing that honor for the first time, because Iowa State's program tied with Purdue's.
