Professor Nadia Gkritza will be honored with the Leadership Award at the 15th Annual Engineering Faculty Awards of Excellence Banquet.

The number of grain dust explosions in the United States fell to a 10-year low in 2016, but two of the incidents resulted in the first reported fatalities since 2013, according to an annual report released by Purdue University's Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering.

Professor Ivantysynova is the chair of a number of organizations that evaluate Finnish mechanical engineering research. She has made a valuable contribution to the development of mechanical engineering research at LUT.

Professors Klein Ileleji, Monika Ivantysynova, Kevin Keener, Michael Ladisch, John Lumkes, Nathan Mosier, and Bernard Tao were recognized at the event honoring those who received invention and copyright disclosures, licensing deals, patents, and royalties.
