The Penn State Electrical Engineering Department has a faculty position opening in the area of semiconductor devices for microelectronics at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Penn State offers a rich and diverse collaborative environment for interdisciplinary research in semiconductors along with infrastructural support through state-of-the-art nanofabrication facilities at the Materials Research Institute (MRI).

POSITION SPECIFICS
The Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA invites applications for a faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Applicants should have qualifications commensurate with the level of Assistant, Associate or full professor, including a demonstrated excellent track record in scholarship and education, recognition from the research community, and the promise of continued distinction. Exceptional candidates are sought for this position covering a broad range of research in the areas of semiconductor devices for microelectronics. The successful candidate at each rank will be expected to establish and sustain an outstanding research program and to be effective, inspiring teachers at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
 
The successful candidate will be co-funded by the Materials Research Institute (MRI) at Penn State, which coordinates interdisciplinary research across the university. The EE Department has 41 tenured/tenure-track faculty members, with average annual research expenditures of $15 million. The undergraduate (juniors and seniors) and graduate programs enroll over 400 and 240 students, respectively. The department is also home to the Center for Heterogeneous Integration of Micro Electronic Systems (CHIMES), a JUMP 2.0 center supported by the Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) and DARPA (www.chimes.psu.edu).

Candidates at each rank must hold a doctorate in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Applications should be submitted online and will be accepted for priority until December 31, 2025.
