Zoom Information Sessions Sept 10 & 16
The Hertz Fellowship provides financial and lifelong professional support for the nation’s most promising graduate students in science and technology intending to direct their studies toward understanding and solving major, near-term problems facing society.
Application Deadline: October 31, 2025
Eligibility:
- Eligible fields: physical and biological sciences, mathematics, and engineering
- U.S. citizens and permanent residents
- Undergraduate senior, first-year graduate student, or in a gap period preparing to apply for graduate school
- Students in the PhD portion of an MD/PhD program are eligible. Other professional degrees such as MD, JD, MBA, DPH, or DVM are ineligible
Benefits (all renewable for up to five years):
- $38,000/nine-month stipend
- Full tuition equivalent
- $5,000/year additional stipend for fellows with dependent children
- Will coordinate with other funding entities if multiple fellowships are received
