2011 NSF Fellowships

On April 5, 2011, National Science Foundation announced the 2011 Graduate Research Fellowship awardees. The School of Chemical Engineering is proud that Brian Lowry (BS 2010), Nathan Mahynski (BS 2010), and current graduate student Mary Jane Brennan are among the recipients.

Alvin Ang, ChE Senior, Sets a Record for Student Competition Success

Alvin Ang, ChE Senior, participated in multiple student competitions during his time at Purdue as an undergraduate student, and has a tremendous record to add to his resume, starting with winning 1st place and $20,000 in the Purdue Soy Innovation Competition.

Moving from Petroleum to Plants to Energize Our World

Sara Yohe, a graduate student in Chemical Engineering working under the guidance of professors Agrawal, Delgass and Ribeiro, describes some of the research she is conducting at Purdue and how it can change our world. The work is funded by the Center for Direct Conversion of Biomass to Biofuels (C3Bio). The video is part of the of the Energy Frontier Research Center video competition sponsored by the Department of Energy.
