Rajamani Gounder, the R. Norris and Eleanor Shreve Professor in the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University, has been appointed editor of the Journal of Catalysis, published by Elsevier.

Vilas Pol, professor of chemical engineering at the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University, has been selected to the 2026 class of Senior Members by the National Academy of Inventors.

Ten Purdue University researchers were named in Clarivate’s 2025 list of Highly Cited Researchers, demonstrating research excellence and influence in their fields. The selected researchers have authored multiple papers that rank among the top 1% in citations in their respective fields, as recorded in the Web of Science from 2014-24.

AAE professor Alina Alexeenko, alongside a Purdue postdoctoral researcher and multiple alumni, received a best-paper award from the American Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences (AAPS).
