Purdue Alumnus on NASA mission to Space Station

Andrew Feustel, Purdue alumnus and NASA astronaut, appears aboard the space shuttle Endeavour during its 16-day mission to the International Space Station. During the mission, Feustel was scheduled to lead three out of four spacewalks to perform critical installations and maintenance.

NASA's Gravity Probe B Confirms Two Einstein Space-Time Theories

After 34 years of research and development, 10 years of flight preparation, a 1.5 year flight mission and 5 years of data analysis, NASA’s Gravity Probe B (GP-B) mission has confirmed two key predictions derived from Albert Einstein’s 1916 general theory of relativity, which the spacecraft was designed to test. The findings are online in the journal Physical Review Letters.

Purdue, China forming joint energy-research labs

Purdue President, France Córdova signed an agreement with Beihang University President Huai Jinpeng to form the BUAA-Purdue Joint Laboratory on Energy Systems and the BUAA-Purdue Joint Laboratory on Low Emissions Combustion. Beihang University also is known as Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Purdue poised for final shuttle mission

For 30 years Purdue University has been ubiquitous with the space shuttle program.
More than a third of all shuttle flights have carried a Boilermaker.
But it's all coming to an end.
