Tareq Khalifeh | Industrial Engineering

Co-Founder and Managing Director, MASE

Collectively, the projects Tareq Khalifeh has led or touched have offset more than 100,000 metric tons of carbon emissions annually, equivalent to removing 21,000+ cars from the road. As the co-founder and managing director of MASE, he has led the development and management of more than 1,500 MWp in utility-scale solar projects and elevated the company to a combined asset value of more than $200 million and 20% year-on-year revenue growth. By implementing AI-driven enterprise resource planning systems and fully digitized field management platforms, he has streamlined operations and maintenance processes, reducing downtime and increasing energy yield for solar plants. These advancements address a critical challenge in the renewable energy sector: maximizing efficiency and reliability in harsh environmental conditions.

He guided the Sustainable Communities Project in which solar PV systems were installed on more than 400 rooftops in low-income and refugee-hosting communities in Jordan. He also administered the construction and management of Arabia One, Jordan's first utility-scale solar Independent Power Producer plant connected to the national grid. This success led to similar projects in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and UAE while contributing to broader goals of energy independence, carbon emission reduction, and economic development.

Khalifeh's efforts have resulted in receiving the Solar Pioneer's Gold Award from the Middle East Solar Industry Association, and most recently, he was recognized by SolarQuarter as one of the region's most influential solar leaders. He serves as a board member of EDAMA, a nonprofit organization promoting green energy, and collaborates with Al Hussein Technical University to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
