Throughout his tenure at ENTRUST Solutions Group, Michael Dettloff has worked extensively with major utilities nationwide on gas, electric, and telecommunication infrastructure projects, with a focus on high-pressure gas pipeline and main replacement programs, to enhance energy reliability across the United States. He joined ENTRUST nearly 15 years ago as a Design Engineer and currently serves as Senior Vice President of ENTRUST's Natural Gas Projects and Programs team, leading a team of approximately 600 professionals nationwide. He oversees operations and execution of natural gas engineering, design, and field support for utility clients. His teams annually design replacements for more than 500 miles of aging gas main infrastructure across the country.
From 2019 to 2022, as Director and later Senior Director of ENTRUST's Mountain District Utilities team, Michael's leadership, strategic planning, and client engagement drove annual fee revenue growth of at least 10%. Between 2022 and 2024, under Michael's leadership as Vice President, ENTRUST's Midwest Region Utilities team achieved approximately 30% fee revenue growth. These accomplishments contributed to ENTRUST's advancement in the Engineering News Record rankings, rising from No. 74 in 2019 to No. 42 in 2024.
Michael's dedication to talent development and organizational growth is a hallmark of his leadership. He was instrumental in expanding the Denver office from 4 to nearly 275 team members, has been a key contributor to ENTRUST's mentorship program since its inception, and actively serves on committees aimed at enhancing workplace culture, training, and collaboration. Additionally, through his active involvement with the American Gas Association (AGA), he shares best practices, addresses emerging industry challenges, and remains informed on evolving standards. Michael has been a Professional Engineer since 2016 and is currently licensed in Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Nevada, and Utah.
