Biography

Chan Choi is a professor in the School of Nuclear Engineering and acts as Professor-in-Charge of Academic Programs. He received his B.S. in Physics from Songang Jesuit College and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Physics from Southern Illinois University.

Prof. Choi’s research interests involve thermonuclear fusion plasma engineering, compact tori plasma/reactor studies, inertial confinement fusion beam target stability, fusion space propulsion, direct energy conversion, and nuclear nonproliferation enabling capabilities.
