Taylor Lee is a Fulbright scholar

Taylor Lee, a Ph.D. student under Prof. Eric Nauman, has won a Fulbright U.S. Student Program grant, funding a year of study overseas. Lee will go to New Zealand to investigate the risk of rugby players developing short- and long-term neurological deficits. This integrates with her desire to improve the safety of athletes through technology and preventive safety measures.

Kennedy Space Center needs a roller coaster!

As part of the Purdue ME class Roller Coaster Dynamics, ME student Krish Kripakaran and Civil Engineering student Dylan Ulaner built this virtual coaster called the "Giant Leap." Roller Coaster Dynamics has been taught by Jeff Rhoads and Chuck Krousgrill since 2009.

Congratulations to Ariel (Turner) Gebhardt (BSME '13), just named to the Purdue Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame! She was a two-time All-American volleyball player, as well as a two-time Academic All-American.

Veterans to receive free treatment for PTSD

Purdue University researchers have received a $511,946 grant from the Indiana State Department of Health to perform an MRI longitudinal pilot study of Hoosier veterans with traumatic brain injury (TBI) who are participating in an experimental treatment. The Purdue Neurotrauma Group includes Purdue ME professor Eric Nauman.
