The Board of Trustees have ratified the appointment of two named professorships in the School of Mechanical Engineering. Douglas Adams was named as the Kenninger Professor of Renewable Energy and Power Systems; and Farshid Sadeghi, as the Cummins Professor of Mechanical Engineering.

Suresh V. Garimella and Jay Gore have received Jefferson Science Fellowships from the U.S. Department of State, where their expertise and insights will help guide U.S. foreign policy.
