The second session focuses on the craft-based, iterative methods Cook outlines for making scholarly podcasts. We will practice interviewing for recording, choosing ambient sounds, and editing for clarity, flow, and storytelling impact. This session will close with a reflection on how podcasting invites us to take part in evolving institutional practices around evaluating and sharing research. By the end, participants will have a grounded concept for a research-based podcast and hands-on experience with the core creative steps from idea → voice → tape → edit.
