Lab website

Prof. Narsimhan’s lab focuses on non-Newtonian fluids as well as colloidal and interfacial science.  His lab uses theory and experiments to examine the physics of suspensions, droplets, and polymer solutions, investigating problems such as breakup and coalescence of droplets/cells, fluid mechanics of particulates in polymer solutions, and rheology of pastes.  Other areas of research include fundamental studies in transport phenomena – e.g., mathematics of diffusion and heat/mass transfer in biopharmaceutical/biomedical industries (dialysis and freeze-drying).
