Dr. John Morgan, Professor of Chemical Engineering, and Dr. Jeff Greeley, Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering, have been named Purdue University Faculty Scholars. This University-wide honor is given to select mid-career faculty who are on an accelerated path for academic distinction.

The Purdue University Board of Trustees approved the promotion of Dr. Bryan Boudouris to Associate Professor during its April Meeting.

Research from Associate Professor Vilas Pol's laboratory shows that carbon fibers derived from a type of wild mushroom, and modified with nanoparticles, can outperform conventional graphite electrodes for lithium-ion batteries.

Assistant Professor Raj Gounder is one of 40 recipients of the Young Scientist Prize from the International Association of Catalysis Societies.
