David Bernal, Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering, and his research group, Systems Engineering via Classical and Quantum Optimization for Industrial Applications (SEQUOIA), recently were awarded in the Clinical Trial Optimization Competition.

Five faculty members from Purdue's School of Chemical Engineering and one from the Daniels School of Business, have been honored with prestigious American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) national and division awards for their groundbreaking contributions to the field. These distinguished individuals will receive their awards at the 2024 AIChE Annual Meeting, to be held in San Diego, California, from October 27-31.

Vilas Pol, Professor of Chemical Engineering, was honored with the 2024 Asian American Engineer of the Year award in Seattle, Washington on September 28, 2024.

Fabio Ribeiro, W. Nicholas and Elizabeth H. Delgass Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering, Director of the NSF Engineering Research Center, CISTAR, and Co-Director of LEAPS has recently been honored with the AIChE R. H. Wilhelm Award in Chemical Reaction Engineering.

Continuing its tradition of innovation and academic rigor, the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering saw many of its students engage in lab research, internships, and study abroad experiences to enhance their education over the summer. Among them, three standout students made a significant impact across the United States.
