Pinpoint Pharma, co-founded by Davidson School of Chemical Engineering research scientist Dr. Arun Giridhar, is one of eight Indiana startups that will be featured Sept. 5-7 at the Tech Crunch Disrupt SF Conference in San Francisco. Giridhar, chief executive officer of Pinpoint Pharma, and three faculty members of Purdue’s Department of Industrial and Physical Pharmacy and Davidson School of Chemical Engineering founded the company two years ago, and have been joined recently by Angela Demaree, a nationally known veterinarian, who received her DVM from Purdue.

Davidson School of Chemical Engineering Professor Vilas Pol is part of a team of Purdue University researchers which recently published their findings on the crystal structure of a quantum material in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Purdue Davidson School of Chemical Engineering has announced its schedule of Fall 2018 Graduate Seminars, featuring a slate of outstanding speakers well-known in their respective fields. All seminars are free and open to the public, and will be held in the Forney Hall of Chemical Engineering.

Davidson School of Chemical Engineering Professor You-Yeon Won has been awarded three years of funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to study pharmaceutical polymers. The NSF funding will support Won’s research project, Statistically Sequence-Controlled Pharmaceutical Polymers, and Studies of Their Molecular Thermodynamics and Kinetic Properties.

Davidson School of Chemical Engineering Professor Vilas Pol set a new Guinness World Record (GWR) for The fastest time to arrange all elements of the modern period table on Wednesday, August 15. Cheered by a crowd of more than 200 onlookers in Forney Hall of Chemical Engineering’s Henson Atrium, Pol correctly arranged the 118 individual elements in 8 minutes and 36 seconds.
