Vilas Pol receives AIChE’s 2021 Excellence in Process Research Development Award

Vilas Pol, professor in the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering, has received the 2021 Excellence in Process Research Development Award from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). Sponsored by Pfizer Inc., this award acknowledges individuals who have made significant technical contributions to the advancement of process development within the categories of teaching, research or regulatory activities.

ChE student athlete is recognized as a Scholar All-America

ChE student Elliot Cooper was among the twelve Purdue swimming and diving members recognized as Scholar All-Americans by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). To receive this honor, students had to have a 3.5 or higher grade-point average in combination with their athletic accomplishments.

PhD student awarded first place at MRS symposium

David Rokke, a PhD student in the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering, was awarded first place for his research poster, presented at the Materials Research Society Spring Meeting & Exhibit, part of the Thin Film Compound Semiconductor Photovoltaics Symposium. The virtual event took place April 17 to April 23, and he was recognized at the awards ceremony on June 7.
