Purdue University’s Larry and Virginia Faith Professor in the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering, Dr. Rajamani Gounder, has recently been selected for the editorial board of Catalysis Reviews. As an editorial board member, Dr. Gounder will assist with the selection and evaluation of high-quality critical review articles of research topics in the field of catalysis. He has joined an international group of highly accomplished and renowned researchers in the catalysis field.

Fabio Ribeiro, R. Norris and Eleanor Shreve Professor of Chemical Engineering and Director of the National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center for Innovative and Strategic Transformation of Alkane Resources (CISTAR), has been elected to the distinction of Fellow by the world's largest general scientific society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

Dr. Julie C. Liu, Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, was selected by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Women in Chemical Engineering Community (WIC) for the Mentorship Excellence Award in Academia in mid-November.

Fabio Ribeiro, R. Norris and Eleanor Shreve Professor of Chemical Engineering and Director of the National Science Foundation Engineering Center for Innovative and Strategic Transformation of Alkane Resources (CISTAR), was recognized by the Brazilian Embassy with the science and technology prize at the 5th Scientific & Technological Diaspora of Brazil in the United States event on December 6, 2022.

The Vilas Pol Energy Research (ViPER) group of the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University now holds the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM title for the “lowest temperature to charge a lithium-ion battery.”
