The College of Engineering, the Dean's Leadership Scholars is a noteworthy initiative that recognizes and nurtures the talents of a group of undergraduate students who serve in an external advisory role to the dean. Rithika Athreya joins existing member Ariana Scott, both seniors studying chemical engineering.

Dr. Vilas Pol, a Purdue University Professor of Chemical Engineering, has recently been awarded a Defense University Research Instrumentation Program (DURIP) grant of $746,198 from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).

The Davidson School of Chemical Engineering is saddened to report the passing of our dear friend, Marilyn Forney (BSChE ’47) of December 29, 2023.

Rajamani Gounder, the R. Norris and Eleanor Shreve Professor of Chemical Engineering, was recently elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) in the fall of 2023.

The College of Engineering recognized 11 Chemical Engineering staff members with Bravo+ Awards in December 2023. 110 total staff members from 17 COE units were recognized.
