On Wednesday, February 18th, ChESAC will sponsor a student-faculty “speed mentoring” event. This event will be held in conjunction with Engineers’ Week and will be themed on the Grand Challenges for Engineering as proposed by the National Academy of Engineering (www.engineeringchallenges.org). The goal is to facilitate discussion between our faculty and undergraduate students while raising awareness on current issues.
Each faculty member will have a designated Grand Challenge. Four to five students will be seated at a table in the atrium, and faculty members will rotate tables to promote conversation on his or her Challenge.
This event will be from 11:30 to 1:00 on Wednesday, February 18th in the Henson Atrium. Lunch will be served, and interested students should send the form (see below) to Julia Smith ([email protected]) by February 6th.
