Record year for Purdue Space Day

Purdue Space Day 2017 attracted a record number of children for the annual event. More than 700 participants in grades 3-8 attended this year's event, which gave them the opportunity to learn about STEM.

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) announced that AAE Prof. Daniel Dumbacher has been appointed executive director. As executive director, Dumbacher will lead the world’s largest aerospace technical society.

Two members of the AAE faculty, Profs. Li Qiao and Steven Son, have been named Class of 2018 Associate Fellows by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). They were chosen for their accomplishments and leadership in the global aerospace community.
