Research to bring intelligent machines that adapt to pilot's skill level

A project, titled “Cognitive Autonomy for Human CPS: Turning Novices into Experts," that is co-led by the University of New Mexico and Purdue in collaboration with the University of Colorado and the University of Texas at Austin, is part of a $5.5 million grant awarded by the National Science Foundation Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) program.

AAE alum part of 'awesome' team awarded Collier Trophy

Collin Drake (MSAAE '17), a flight science engineer for the Air Force, was involved in Air Force Research Laboratory’s Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System (Auto GCAS), a project that was awarded the Collier Trophy in June.
