AAE student honored at Purdue's annual Honor Convocation

Andrew Damon, an AAE student from Indianapolis, received the $1,000 Louis Sudler Prize in the Arts for an outstanding senior who has demonstrated excellence and the highest standards of proficiency in the visual or performing arts.

C. T. Sun to receive AIAA-ASC James H. Starnes Jr. Award

C.T. Sun will receive the inaugural AIAA-ASC James H. Starnes, Jr. Award at an awards luncheon May 6, as part of the 50th AIAA/ASME/ASCE/AHS/ASC Structures, Structural Dynamics, and Materials Conference, held May 4-7, 2009, in Palm Springs, CA.

New storage system design brings hydrogen cars closer to reality

A team of researchers, including AAE Professor Timothée Pourpoint, has developed a critical part of a hydrogen storage system for cars that makes it possible to fill up a vehicle's fuel tank within five minutes with enough hydrogen to drive 300 miles.

Access & Success Campaign

The Access & Success Campaign was announced in April 2008. Student Access & Success is one of the major goals in the university's strategic plan, which was introduced at the April 11 board of trustees meeting and presented for approval in June 2008.
