In its 40th Annual Salute to Women on March 4, 2014, the Greater Lafayette YWCA presented Leah Jamieson, the John A. Edwardson Dean of Engineering, the Mary Keller Ade Woman of Wisdom Award.
The replica hypersonic space plane, called the X-20 Dyna-Soar, was unveiled in October. It was a gift to the College of Engineering from Boeing Co., which developed it through a U.S. Air Force program to create a manned, military space plane.

On February 21st, the College of Engineering will honor Andrea M. Chavez (BSAAE '88) and Jim Miller (BSAAE '86) as two out of ten Engineering Alumni who are distinguished in their engineering careers. The College of Engineering has over 85,000 living alumni. The distinction of DEA has been bestowed upon 489 of the outstanding individuals.
