Purdue AAE experiment aboard Blue Origin suborbital rocket a success

An experiment by Purdue AAE professor Steven Collicott ended with success aboard the first suborbital rocket research flight by private company Blue Origin. Prof. Collicott is one of three scientists asked by Blue Origin to work with the private company as it tested and perfected its suborbital rocket design.

AAE PhD student Alex Friedman has been awarded an Indiana Space Grant Consortium (INSGC) Doctoral Fellowship for the 2016-2017 academic year. Friedman is a PhD candidate under Visiting Assistant Professor Carolin Frueh.

Purdue AAE alumni played crucial role for winning Indianapolis 500 team

Andretti Autosport engineer and 2011 Purdue University graduate Nick Heinz played a crucial role in helping rookie Alexander Rossi win the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 29. Nick was a student of AAE Professor John Sullivan and received his MS AAE in 2011.
