Applications open for Schmidt Science Postdoctoral Fellowship
Purdue may select up to four nominees for the Schmidt Science Fellowship to fund two years of interdisciplinary postdoctoral research.
Applications for Purdue’s nomination are due Friday, March 27 at 11:59 PM.

Eligibility
- Studying for a PhD in natural sciences (Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Sciences), Engineering, Mathematics, Computing – or any of the sub-disciplines. Individuals on clinical track MD-PhD or Veterinary-PhD programs are not eligible.
- Expect to complete all degree requirements between May 1, 2026 and June 30, 2027
- Must be committed to immersing themselves in a new discipline beyond their current expertise
