National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship
NDSEG supports early-stage graduate students conducting research of interest to the Department of Defense, primarily in STEM fields. Cognitive, neural, and behavioral sciences are also eligible.
Application Deadline: November 15, 2025
Eligibility:
· U.S. citizen or U.S. national
· At the time of application, must be within your first two years of starting graduate study and have at least three years remaining
· Must be pursuing research in alignment with one or more specific topics identified in the Department of Defense’s Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs)
Benefits:
· $43,200 annual stipend for three years
· Up to $5,000 to attend the DoD National Fellows Conference in the second year of the fellowship (required) and other professional development opportunities
· Full tuition and fees for three years
· Health insurance contribution of $1,600
