NSF GRFP Workshop Series - Fellowship Office

NSF GRFP Workshop Series - Fellowship Office

Two additional iterations of their three-part workshop series on developing a strong application for the NSF GRFP.

2025.08.27 UPDATE:

OGSPS has decided to postpone the September series of the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) workshops originally shared below and scheduled for September 3, 8, and 10 pending the delayed release of the updated NSF GRFP solicitation. The Fellowships and Funding Office is monitoring for its release and will reschedule the workshop series once it is available and a submission deadline is announced. They will continue to offer the help sessions that were scheduled throughout September and October for any students who would like to start preparing their applications ahead of the solicitation and for students who are applying for the NDSEG fellowship

The OGSPS Fellowship Office is offering two additional iterations of their three-part workshop series to support students in developing a strong application for the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP). We will also offer in-person and virtual help sessions throughout August-October to provide one-on-one support to student working on their application materials.

  • Part 1: Overview (Aug 4*/Sep 3) – Learn about eligibility, benefits, review criteria, and application strategy
  • Part 2: Personal Statement (Aug 13/Sep 8) – Tips for telling your story and clarifying your goals
  • Part 3: Research Statement (Aug 18/Sep 10) – How to write a clear, compelling research plan
  • Help Sessions (many dates August-October) – Get feedback on your drafts and answers to your questions from current GRFP Fellows

While the 2025 solicitation for the NSF GRFP has not yet been released, we anticipate that it will be released in the coming weeks with a fall 2025 deadline, and we encourage students to begin preparing their materials.
